Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil and/or infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Lump Sum, Re-measurable, EPC, and Design & Build contracts is preferred.
- Familiarity with FIDIC-based contracts is an advantage.
- Experience in marine works (berths, jetties, piling, concrete works, dredging) is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and measurement sheets.
- Perform quantity take-offs (MTO) from drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Monitor and control project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and certify interim payment applications, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Evaluate and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices, variations, and claims.
- Prepare variation orders, rate analysis, and cost impact assessments.
- Assist in contract administration, including correspondence, notices, and record keeping.
- Coordinate with site, planning, and technical teams to ensure accurate measurement and cost control.
- Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and subcontract award recommendations.
- Maintain proper commercial records, cost reports, and project documentation.
- Assist in claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, client requirements, and company procedures.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost control, and measurement standards.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract clauses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying / cost control tools.
- Good understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
