The Audio Visual (AV) Technician shall be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment for various events and helping with installations of the system.
The ideal candidate shall be knowledgeable in technical aspects of audio and video production, can troubleshoot issues with equipment, and work well in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setting Up Equipment: Transporting, installing, and connecting AV equipment such as projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and monitors.
• Operating Equipment: Managing AV equipment during live events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during events.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems. Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining AV equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Client Collaboration: Working with clients to understand their AV needs and ensuring the equipment meets their requirements.
• Inventory Management: Keeping accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education: Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Technical certification relevant to AV systems shall be an advantage though not mandatory.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in AV system setup and operation. Preferably someone who also has experience in ELV systems.
• Proven track record of working with professional audio, video, conferencing, and control systems.
