The Creative Copywriter and Editor will work closely with the Creative Director in developing creative concepts and messaging, through written content for certain organization initiatives. Creative copywriting and editing should differ from journalistic copywriting in order to achieve the project’s creative and/or marketing objectives and positioning.
The Creative Copywriter and Editor is responsible for generating keywords, slogans, messaging etc. that will accompany creative advertising visuals. They will also be responsible for writing advertising promotional materials and developing and producing content for effective advertising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative ideas and concepts with the project team for a variety of communication platforms (digital, print, mobile etc.)
- Writing clear, original, effective, and concise grammatically correct copy
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Familiarization with the brand, target audience and various communication platform tones.
- Understand the different language styles that appeal to various target markets
- Keeping up to date with the industry and popular culture
- Ability to work cohesively with the other units within the organization's Communications
- Be able to see other people’s points of view and take on board feedback
