Job Description: Accountant – Accounts Receivable (AR)
Location: Qatar
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Division: Recruitment & Outsourcing
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare monthly outsourcing invoices based on approved timesheets and deployment records.
- Generate placement fee invoices in accordance with recruitment contracts.
- Calculate and bill overtime, end-of-service (EOS), leave salary, and WPS recoveries.
- Review and validate contracts to ensure correct rates, billing terms, and commercial conditions.
- Maintain proper documentation supporting all billing activities.
Collections & Account Management
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue invoices.
- Coordinate with operations and recruitment teams to resolve billing disputes.
- Issue Statements of Account (SOA) and obtain customer balance confirmations.
- Maintain strong client relationships to support timely collections.
Cash Application & Reconciliation
- Accurately apply customer payments in the ERP system.
- Track deductions, debit notes, and partial payments.
- Perform monthly customer account reconciliations and resolve variances.
- Maintain clear audit trails for all AR transactions.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare AR aging reports, DSO analysis, and collection performance reports.
- Support month-end closing activities and external/internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and Qatar regulatory requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the AR cycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in recruitment, outsourcing, or service industries.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, or Odoo.
