Job Purpose:
- Lead static equipment/mechanical activities for a major offshore expansion project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., specifications, data sheets) fully comply with deliverables and standardized processes. Provide design support to the Engineering Manager, ensuring high-quality execution of all project elements.
- The Static Equipment Lead will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance on mechanical/static equipment. The role ensures design of mechanical equipment, and compliance with Company and international standards to enhance asset reliability and safety.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Reports to Head of Mechanical Engineering.
- Ensure that the Contractor’s mechanical equipment engineering for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) Engineering designs comply with the Contract requirements, including project codes and standards.
- Review and approve Contractor engineering deliverables for Mechanical equipment. Review and comment on other engineering discipline deliverables.
- Plan and schedule the engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with QatarEnergy LNG operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
- Participate in key design workshop and ensure that recommendation are correctly implemented and actions closed (3D model review, Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
- Support Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractor’s progress on delivery of the required Static Equipment documents for Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respective disciplines involved in delivery of the mechanical equipment, and ensures endorsement of Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
- Supervise and manage Engineering interface for mechanical equipment for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) with the following teams: Operations, the pipelines from the
- topsides perspective, the Onshore Project Team.
