Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibly to execute core accounting activities of the company, including maintains a strong finance procedure, complied with local regulations and ensure all proper accounting records are processed with accuracy, timelines and completeness.
- Maintain local banking relationships including negotiating facilities agreements and ensuring that such activities are carried out with planned time frame and in context with general financial plans, targets and interest.
- Monitors compliance with IFRS and IAS.
- Preparation of the monthly statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
- Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
- Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports.
- Issue cost reports of outstanding projects for review and approval.
- Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions.
- Review and approve payment vouchers and journal entries.
- Closely maintains and monitors the purchases and payable system.
- Perform periodic cash flow forecasting.
- Analyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.
- Develop and maintain proper controls and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
- Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review.
- Adheres to internal and external Audit requirements and deadlines.
- Assist with annual budgets – prepares required financial allocations.
- Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department.
