We are seeking a skilled Governance Specialist to play a pivotal role in the implementation and enhancement of a robust corporate governance framework. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of strategies, policies, and guidelines to ensure a consistent "whole of organization" approach to governance, risk, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Governance Framework:
- Support the implementation of a fit-for-purpose corporate governance framework, aligning with organizational strategies and guidelines.
- Ensure a consistent "whole of organization" approach to governance, risk, and compliance at all levels.
Risk-Based Approach:
- Work collaboratively with the business to embed a risk-based approach to governance, fostering compliance with processes and procedures outlined in the company's Bylaws and key governing documents.
Operational Governance:
- Monitor and enhance operational governance through regular reviews, reporting to the Manager - Governance, Risk and Compliance.
- Contribute to the coordination of regulatory and governance reporting, including annual reports, long-term strategy documents, monthly performance reports, and operational business plans.
Advisory Role:
- Provide advice on the Code of Corporate Governance and address significant or high-risk governance, risk, and compliance matters across the organization.
Reporting and Progress Tracking:
- Support the preparation of various reports, including the annual operational plan for governance, tracking associated key performance indicators.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other governance professionals to ensure the successful delivery of the "whole of organization" approach to governance.
