We are looking to hire a skilled cake decorator to design and decorate cakes according to customers’ specifications and preferences. The cake decorator’s responsibilities and special requests, providing suitable recommendations on cake decoration and designs and packaging bakery items.
Cake Decorator also, be able to store all the bakery products in accordance with product handling procedures to ensure freshness and prevent contamination.
Prior experience in a bakery setting and cake decorating experience strongly preferred. Creating character cakes are advantage.
Creativity and familiarity with decorating tools and techniques.
Able to work a variety of shifts and under pressure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Qualified candidates must exhibit exceptional decorating skills including icing, airbrush, decorating kits, edible images, floral design, and licensed character designs through examples such as a portfolio.
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume of orders including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
- Capability to stand for long periods of time.
- Coordination skills to follow instructions and duplicate drawings and letters from projected images.
- Practice the establishment of food-handling procedures to meet any local health regulations.
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, a positive, attitude, and promptness.
- Designing and decorating cakes according to the customer's specifications.
- Decorating regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
- Assisting baking staff with the production of standard bakery items.
- Producing different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake types and customer preferences.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all works areas and ovens as well as baking and decorating equipment before using it.
