Main Purpose:
As a Software Developer you’ll be responsible for working closely with the broadcast/IT specialists/engineers to deliver software solutions across the spectrum of broadcasting requirements.
You will play a key role in the analysis, design, development, testing, installation and maintenance of software systems. Help the businesses be more efficient and provide a better service.
Work across different programming languages and technologies from analysis and design, integration and deployment, to automation of software systems. Write, develop and test codes to fix faults and create new software and systems as well as a use a range of languages and work on advanced modules and projects.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing applications to meet the needs of the business
- Building monitoring systems to facilitate the newsroom users daily tasks
- Developing in-house applications that would eventually substitute the outsourced apps
- Working with multiple APIs of the broadcast systems
- Research new interfaces and solutions to meet interactive requirements
- Reviewing current systems and user their APIs to deliver certain tasks to other systems
- Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
- Working closely with the team leaders to collect their improvements and requirements to the systems
- Ensuring quality of code and documentation
- Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
- Preparation of training for users
