Position Summary
- The position is responsible to execute a variety of communication and media relations initiatives and assist in the dissemination of information to enhance organizational ties to its external constituents.
Job Responsibilities
- Handles the day-to-day relations with the media, including media queries, media interviews, and press conferences, preparing news releases and media kits etc.
- Cultivates and maintains relationships with key news media at local and international levels and assisting in organizing media events and promotional activities.
- Responds to and follows through on requests for information from the media and the public.
- Assists in planning and disseminating external communication of information through various media that is designed to keep public informed of events, initiatives, accomplishments, or points of view.
- Writes, edits, reviews, and assures appropriate distribution of communication/public relations materials including news releases, articles, speeches, on-line information services, and broadcast scripts under supervision.
- May oversee production and publication of communication/public relations materials and related communication.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of media programs.
- Handles the booking arrangement for rooms for media events.
- Acts as the focal point for all media and filming requests and particularly escorts the media/visitors on visits (for tours and filming).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or other related field with 4- 5 years of relevant experience in PR press agency.
