The Role:
We are seeking an experienced YouTube Senior Channel Manager to run the day-to-day operations, management, and analytical reporting. The successful candidate should be a creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on organization and meticulous attention to detail. The candidate will manage a small team of channel managers.
Senior Channel Managers are expected to develop deep understanding in our managed content and perform competitive analysis to gain an understanding of how we can improve and grow our channels. Candidates will be expected to perform ongoing YouTube viewership analysis using multiple analytics tools in order to validate existing strategies and provide information to guide programming, marketing, and investment decisions going forward.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Editorial section
- Upload content, ensuring channels adhere to YouTube best practices and track content production to ensure deadlines are met
- Run the day-to-day operation across multiple YouTube channels
- Oversee all written editorial across all videos and channel home pages and make sure it is of a consistently excellent standard
- Take responsibility for the overall look and design of all channels and make sure they obey all relevant editorial guidelines
- Design and create bespoke video thumbnails that catches the eye
- Write and edit metadata and copy for videos and channels
- Optimize titles, descriptions, other metadata, and keywords to be SEO
- Excellent command of Arabic Language
Managing and Developing YouTube Team
- By running the team of YouTube Executives, successful candidate will have to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all YouTube channels
- Manage, train, and develop a team of YouTube Managers / Assistants setting clear goals and KPI’s
- Create performance updates for the wider team and company
- Interrogate data to deliver actionable insights and strategies for growth
Monitoring and Developing YouTube channels
- Ensure channels adhere to YouTube best practices
- Keep up to date with YouTube platform developments, trends, and training
- Reacting quickly to changes across the platform, staying ahead of new trends and algorithm changes
Reporting and Analysis skills
- Good analysis and reporting skills of YouTube analytics and other data sources
- YouTube viewership analysis, using our multiple analytic tools
- Provide regular updates and reports on channel growth to the digital unit manager
- Regularly audit and interrogate performance metrics using various analytic tools such as YouTube Analytics and other analysis software to build actionable insights
