Legal Advisor - People Dynamics
Assist the Shared Services Manager in executing Companies Legal Affairs strategy
Provide a legal opinion to departments across.
Develop the budget, targets and KPI’s for the Section, and ensure compliance therewith.
Review contracts and agreements from a legal standpoint.
Provide advice on the legal interpretation of laws that are relevant to the operations of Company.
Maintain relationships with the legal departments of key government stakeholders.
Manage litigation related areas
Participate in regular internal legal meetings, and with external parties regarding all issues pertaining to legal affairs such as legislation, contracts etc. - Draft agreements (commercial agreements, letter of awards, etc.) to ensure prevention of legal exposure and evaluation of risk. - Work closely with external legal experts in order to align agreements to leading practices and Companies ’ best interest. - Draft agreements and binding commercial contracts to which Companies is a party to ensure all legal aspects are duly considered.
Prepare standard terms and templates for required legal contracts and documents such as lease agreements, employment contracts, consultancy agreements and procurement contracts to save time and effort on repetitive work. - Ensure all processes are documented and digitalised. Note: The above responsibilities are not exhaustive; additional responsibilities can be assigned at the discretion of the line manager.
Track and monitor personal performance against annually determined performance measures. - Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and career development.
Assist department leadership in execution of key tasks. - Network/communicate with other team members via various communication channels and build relationships that facilitate a work environment with positive energy, creativity and teamwork.
Strong knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable in Companies regulatory jurisdictions and best practices. - Strong understanding of leading global practices in legal compliance and standards. - Ability to grasp technical and commercial detail from legal documentation. - Knowledge of Office 365.
